Breeding Danios
Breeding Blue Danios: Easy to breed egg scatterers. Place pairs in a well planted 10 gallon tank condition adults with frozen adult and newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii, slow raise tank temperature to 80°F and begin watching closely as females fill with eggs.
After spawning, remove adults and raise fry infusoria and then on microworms and newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii
Breeding Giant Danios: Easy to breed egg scatterers. Place pairs in a well planted 10 gallon tank condition adults with frozen adult and newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii, slow raise tank temperature to 80°F and begin watching closely as females fill with eggs.
After spawning, remove adults and raise fry on microworms and newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii
Breeding Pearl Danios: Raise temperature to 80-82°F in shallow, new water, planted with fine leaved plants should initiate breeding.
Remove the pairs after spawning so the parents don't eat the eggs. Pairs remain together for the remainder of their lives.
After spawning, remove adults and raise fry on microworms and newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii
Breeding Zebra Danios: Very easy to breed. Raise temperature to 80°F in a well planted 10 gal. aquarium with grassy thin plants. Feed with newly hatched brine shrimp to condition spawners. Zebra Danios are egg scatterers.
After spawning, remove adults and raise fry on infusoria, and then microworms and newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii
