Epiplatys Killifish
For more information
about Epiplatys species, click on the fish below.
Species in the
Epiplatys genus are surface fish, feeding on mosquito larvae and insects that fall into the water.
These prefer to spawn in floating plants or at the tops of tall plants, thus if
you wish to collect eggs, you will need to float your spawning mop in the top
3" near the surface.
The Epiplatis species usually are around 3.5 inches
and are easy to breed.. Examples of species for beginners, are E. sexfasciatus,
E. Lamotti, and E. fasciolatus.
The genus also contains some challenging species
such as E. annulatus.

We are changing our tropical fish

because we will have more tank raised fish shortly,
